                     Mediterranean Wines

2023 Croix Gratiot Syndical
On Sale for $16
Montagnac / Languedoc / France
100% Picpoul de Pinet
Picpoul roughly translates as “lip stinger” and in the case of many examples of the variety it is indeed only acid that makes an impression. The fruit for this more intensely styled Picpoul is harvested under the cover of night in order to retain as much freshness in the fruit as possible.
2022 Roquefort Petit Sale Blanc
On Sale for $21.99
Bouches du Rhône / Provence / France
mostly Clairette with Vermentino and Ugni Blanc
Sourced from vines planted in the 1950’s this lightly aromatic white is created from vineyards located in the valleys east of Marseille. Fresh and vibrant, this is a brilliant warm weather white.
2023 Fonscolombe Esquisse Rose
On Sale for $13.60
Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence / Provence / France
40% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
Sourced from vineyards in the north of the Aix appellation, the fruit for this Rose benefits equally from the warm, sunny conditions of the area as well as the cooling effects of the Mistral winds.
2019 Regaleali Lamuri
On Sale for $16
Sicily / Italy
100% Nero d’Avola
From Nero d’Avola vines planted on hillsides, this decidedly fresh example of the varietal is aged in a combination of new (20%) and used barrels for 12 months. The result is a smooth, slightly spicy take on the cultivar.
2022 Vignobles Brunier Pigeoulet
On Sale for $20
Vaucluse / France
55% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 8% Cinsault, 7% Mourvedre
The vineyards that inform this bottling are located to the east of Chateauneuf-du-Pape as well as in Ventoux with soils that feature sand and clay. The resulting wine was aged for 18 months in 50% cement tanks and 50% large oak barrels.
2021 Campo al Mare Rosso
On Sale for $23.99
Bolgheri / Tuscany / Italy
60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Verdot
The Campo Al Mare project began in the 1990’s just as the wine world was fully discovering the unique climate and vine growing potential of Tuscany’s coastal Bolgheri district. This warm, windswept zone provides ideal conditions for the ripening of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and has the ability to produce wines which seamlessly marry the structure of Bordeaux with the luminous, ripe fruited nature of Tuscany.
