Winzerhof Stahl Muller-Thurgau, Franken 2017

Regular price: $18.99

Sale Price: $14.99

Müller-Thurgau is a crossing of Riesling with Madeleine Royale created by Hermann Müller from the Swiss Canton of Thurgau in 1882. It’s an easy ripening grape with good fruit and relatively low acidity. It’s easy to like, if a bit simple.

Leitz Trocken Riesling, Rheingau 2016

Regular Price $21.99

Sale price $16.99

Ah, yes, another typically dry Riesling. I’d call it boring if it wasn’t so delicious. Crisp and (did I say?) dry, it has enough juicy peach and citrus flavors to delight the sweet (California Chard) drinkers. The acidity is fairly electric!

Albert Boxler Pinot Blanc, Alsace 2015

Regular price $39.99

Sale price $31.99

Albert Boxler is one of the finest wineries in the world. The wines, like this beauty, are rich, and full yet lithe and food-friendly. This wine is so delicious that one doesn’t notice how complex and interesting it is.

Stefan Pratsch Rosé, Niederosterreich 2017

Regular Price $17.99

Sale price $13.99

This is a Rosé of Zweigelt, and it’s a beauty, full of strawberry and pear aromas and flavors, finishing with crisp, refreshing acidity.

Tissot Crémant du Jura Rosé NV

Regular price: $36.99

Sale Price: $28.99

This blend of Pinot Noir, Poulsard and Trousseau opens with tangerine and strawberry flavors that gain weight in the mouth. Finishing on a minerally note, it shows very great  length, with a subtly floral note.

Villa Dugo Cabernet Franc, Venezia Giulia 2016

Regular price $14.99

Sale price $18.99

Here’s where I admit to bias once again. I love Cabernet Franc and wish that Cabernet sauvignon was ½ as interesting. This example, from NE Italy is more delicate and floral than its Loire cousins, yet still shows the trademark black olive and violet aromas and hints of green pepper and persistent tannins

Sierra Nevada partnered with Bavaria’s Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery, for this American take on the classic German Oktoberfest. A malt backbone is balanced by subtle hop character in this crisp, clean, and drinkable crowd-pleaser.

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale, Milton, DE

A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. Brewed with pumpkin meat, brown sugar and spices, as the season cools, this is the perfect beer to warm up with.
