Vermouth & Aperitif

March 31, 2022

5 PM – 7 PM

For the uninitiated: vermouth is a fortified wine, mixed with higher-proof alcohol and lots of herbs and spices. These days, the category includes more delicious, characterful, and complex options than ever—from classic Italian and French numbers to contemporary, “craft” versions.

An apéritif is a refreshing alcoholic drink that is served before a meal to stimulate the appetite. Sort of a liquid appetizer, apéritifs may be served to mingling guests during a dinner party (with or without food) or while preparing your own dinner on an average night. They are also an excellent way to unwind from the day.

La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Blanc…$29.99

The subtle mixture of 18 plants and white wines blended with Pineau des Charentes Blanc, make La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Blanc a sumptuously round and tasty nectar with aromas of fresh lemon and yellow fruits.

Lillet Blanc…$19.99

Lillet, classed as an aromatised wine within EU law, is a French wine-based aperitif from Podensac. It is a blend of 85% Bordeaux region wines and 15% macerated liqueurs, mostly citrus liqueurs. The mix is then stirred in oak vats until blended

Dolin Vermouth de Chambery Rouge…$16.99

Dolin continues to make the authentic product according to the principles which earned Chambéry France’s only A.O. for vermouth back in 1932. This means production in Chambéry itself, maceration of real plants rather than pre-prepared infusions, and sweetening only by grape must, wine and/or sugar.

Violet Freres Byrrh Grand Quinquina…$22.99

Byrrh Grand Quinquina is made to the original late-19th century recipe that earned worldwide fame and inspired fifty years of evocative poster art. Byrrh combines a generous, port-like wine and mistelle base with a firm backbone of natural quinine to produce a fruity, refreshing aperitif
