2020 Maison la Berthaude
Cotes-du-Rhone Blanc “Cuvee Laura”
On Sale for $14.99
The 2020 Maison la Berthaude Cotes-du-Rhone Blanc is an outstanding option for the transition from summer to fall, offering refreshment and substance. The cuvee Laura is produced from several estate vineyards in the Southern Rhone Valley and is composed of roughly 80% Viognier, 10% Grenache Blanc, and 10% Marsanne, with each varietal fermented and aged separately prior to blending and bottling. This expressive white opens with a nose of white peach and honeysuckle before leading to a medium to full bodied palate offering pineapple and raw almond flavors and tangy finishing acids. The relatively small portions of Grenache Blanc and Marsanne add significant minerality and dimension to this exotic Viognier-dominated cuvee.
Unencumbered by any wood influence, the Berthaude Blanc is lush and focused with aromatic appeal to spare. We have a few cases available @ $14.99 per bottle, please let us know of your interest in this summer-to-autumn season stretcher.
Thanks as always,
Ian.
